Art in the Street Exhibition in Benitachell
Yesterday, we attended the inauguration of the Benitachell Annual Literature Festival. They opened the series of events that will take place over the next 10 days or so with this special and emotional art exhibition. It was lovingly organised by Clasicas y Modernas, the Benitachell Town Hall and Dones de Picanya, the Picana Women’s Association. If you don’t know Picanya, it is right next to Paiporta in Valencia, which was affected by the DANA floods. This of course affected the artists, who created emotional paintings of lives affected, in a positive way about survival and moving forward. The art is fantastic and worth a wander down the street from the town hall all the way to the main road at the other end, they are beautifully hung on the balconies.
