How can you tell if the feeling’s mutual? What if you’re not after the same thing? How do you say no when you’re not up for something? And how can you tell if a relationship actually makes you feel good?

We’ll talk about crushes, messaging, first relationships, jealousy and boundaries. The exciting bits, the confusing bits, and what respect looks like when you really like someone.

For anyone aged 13 to 16, whether you’re with someone or not.

An interactive workshop for 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

What we will cover

  • Manipulation tactics explained. Ghosting, love bombing, breadcrumbing, hoovering, gaslighting, catfishing, weaponised incompetence, triangulation, DARVO, negging, future faking, stonewalling, trauma bonding, boundary testing and sealioning.

  • The myths of romantic love, and why they make control look normal.

  • How to respond. Practical tools to protect yourself without escalating the conflict.

  • An interactive group game. Spot the red flag, talk it over, decide.

  • Open conversation. Ask your questions in a safe and supportive space.

Why this matters

Violence against women does not always begin with violence. It begins with control, with confusion, and with beliefs we have been taught to accept.

Learning to recognise the early signs, in our own relationships and in the lives of the people around us, is prevention.

Who is this for?

Everyone. All genders, all ages, all backgrounds.

Bring a friend. Bring your questions. Bring an open mind.
