This is the second edition of the Memoria Viva project produced by ‘El Mirall de la Marina’ and organised by the Benitachell Town Hall Equality Department.
The project entails photography and a documentary, which will be screened on Saturday 7 March, 7:00 pm at the Benitachell Social Centre.
Eight women born in Benitachell and one woman born in London, who survived the London Blitz, later moved to Andalusia and who now resides in Benitachell. Hugely contrasting and emotional stories.

Some of the questions they were asked:
-
When you were young, what was expected of a woman in your environment?
-
What place did work have in your life? Was it a choice or a necessity? Did it give you independence?
-
Who did you take care of, and who took care of you?
-
Mirando atrás, sientes que pudiste tomar decisiones sobre tu propia vida?
-
When you look at young woment today, what do you think about the changes that have taken place?
