Marina Alta woman highlighting dirty practices in the fashion industry in India

Lauren Staton, founder of Daadi – a not-for-profit project that brings people together through sustainable fashion, talks to Ramash Palliwall from Tabaar, an organisation based in Jaipur dedicated to rescuing children victims of child labour trafficking in the fashion industry.
Watch until the end when Ramesh introduces four children who were rescued from a dire circumstances just this weekend. They have to be tested for STDs, they have lung disease due to the chemicals used making bangles, they have not been alowed to bather or brush their teeth and are malnourished. Thank goodness they are in good care now! Please purchase your clothes consciously. Fashion labels are notoriously deceptive and ‘cheap’ clothes are made using cheap labour. Who pays?
